Value Area Migration - This section contains patterns using value area movements over multiple trading sessions.
POC - Point of Control, this is the single widest line of TPOs (Time Price Opportunity) closest to the center to the daily range. If there are multiple levels with the most amount of TPOs we use the one closest to the middle of the daily range, if there are still multiples with equal distances to the middle we use the lowest of them.
Value Area - The place where approximately 70% of the TPOs are located. It is calculated by starting with the Point of Control and including the closest 70% of TPOs to the Point of Control.
Value Area High- VAH, The highest price within the value area.
Value Area Low - VAL, The lowest price within the value area.
Higher Value - VAL > prior VAL & VAH > prior VAH
Lower Value - VAL < prior VAL & VAH < prior VAH
3 Consecutive Overlapping Value Areas - POC Finished in Prior Value Area for 3 consecutive days
5 Consecutive Overlapping Value Areas - POC Finished in Prior Value Area for 5 consecutive days
3 Consecutive Higher Value Areas - VAL > prior VAL & VAH > prior VAH for 3 consecutive days
3 Consecutive Lower Value Areas -VAL < prior VAL & VAH < prior VAH for 3 consecutive days
5 Consecutive Higher Value Areas - VAL > prior VAL & VAH > prior VAH for 5 consecutive days
5 Consecutive Lower Value Areas - VAL < prior VAL & VAH < prior VAH for 5 days
First Lower Value Area After 3 Consecutive Higher Value Areas - VAL < prior VAL & VAH < prior VAH, and day before yesterday VAL > prior VAL & VAH > prior VAH for 3 consecutive days.
First Higher Value Area After 3 Consecutive Lower Value Areas - VAL > prior VAL & VAH > prior VAH, and day before yesterday VAL < prior VAL & VAH < prior VAH for 3 consecutive days.
