POC Placement - The location of the prior Point of Control in relation to technical levels.
POC - Point of Control, this is the single widest line of TPOs (Time Price Opportunity) closest to the center to the daily range. If there are multiple levels with the most amount of TPOs we use the one closest to the middle of the daily range, if there are still multiples with equal distances to the middle we use the lowest of them.
TPO - The basic building blocks of the Market Profile® are called Time Price Opportunities, or TPOs. Each half hour of the trading day is designated by a letter. When a certain price is traded during a given half hour period, the corresponding letter or TPO is recorded next to the price.
Value Area - The place where approximately 70% of the TPOs are located. It is calculated by starting with the Point of Control and including the closest 70% of TPOs to the Point of Control.
