Intraday Close vs Intraday Range

This section allows you to test where the close of the timeframe you are testing is located in relation to its intraday range and technical levels. The open is the first price traded during the regular trading hours. The close is the last price traded at for the timeframe you selected. For example, if you select the Intraday Time Based Entry setup with an Entry Time of 10:00 am ET the close price for this section would reference the last traded price as of 9:59:59 am ET. The Intraday range would be defined as the difference between highest and lowest price traded between the open of regular trading hours and 9:59:59 am ET.

 

Close > Open -  The close (last traded price) of the timeframe you have selected is greater than the open of the regular trading hours session. For example, if you select the Intraday Time Based Entry setup with an Entry Time of 10:00 am ET the close price for this section would reference the last traded price as of 9:59:59 am ET. 

 

Close < Open -  The close (last traded price) of the timeframe you have selected is less than the open of the regular trading hours session. For example, if you select the Intraday Time Based Entry setup with an Entry Time of 10:00 am ET the close price for this section would reference the last traded price as of 9:59:59 am ET. 

 

Close in Top 10% of Intraday Range - The close (last traded price) of the timeframe you have selected is in the top 10% of its intraday range. The intraday range is defined as the range between the high and low made within the timeframe you have selected. The open of the timeframe is always the open of the regular trading hours session. The close of the timeframe you select is the last price traded prior to the entry time of the setup. The high of the intraday range is the highest price traded within the timeframe you select. The low of the intraday range is the lowest price traded within the timeframe you select.



Close in Top 25% of Intraday Range - The close (last traded price) of the timeframe you have selected is in the top 25% of its intraday range. The intraday range is defined as the range between the high and low made within the timeframe you have selected. The open of the timeframe is always the open of the regular trading hours session. The close of the timeframe you select is the last price traded prior to the entry time of the setup. The high of the intraday range is the highest price traded within the timeframe you select. The low of the intraday range is the lowest price traded within the timeframe you select.

 

Close in Top Half of Intraday Range - The close (last traded price) of the timeframe you have selected is in the top 50% of its intraday range. The intraday range is defined as the range between the high and low made within the timeframe you have selected. The open of the timeframe is always the open of the regular trading hours session. The close of the timeframe you select is the last price traded prior to the entry time of the setup. The high of the intraday range is the highest price traded within the timeframe you select. The low of the intraday range is the lowest price traded within the timeframe you select.



Close in Bottom Half of Intraday Range - The close (last traded price) of the timeframe you have selected is in the bottom 50% of its intraday range. The intraday range is defined as the range between the high and low made within the timeframe you have selected. The open of the timeframe is always the open of the regular trading hours session. The close of the timeframe you select is the last price traded prior to the entry time of the setup. The high of the intraday range is the highest price traded within the timeframe you select. The low of the intraday range is the lowest price traded within the timeframe you select.

 

Close in Bottom 25% of Intraday Range - The close (last traded price) of the timeframe you have selected is in the bottom 25% of its intraday range. The intraday range is defined as the range between the high and low made within the timeframe you have selected. The open of the timeframe is always the open of the regular trading hours session. The close of the timeframe you select is the last price traded prior to the entry time of the setup. The high of the intraday range is the highest price traded within the timeframe you select. The low of the intraday range is the lowest price traded within the timeframe you select.

 

Close in Bottom 10% of Intraday Range - The close (last traded price) of the timeframe you have selected is in the bottom 10% of its intraday range. The intraday range is defined as the range between the high and low made within the timeframe you have selected. The open of the timeframe is always the open of the regular trading hours session. The close of the timeframe you select is the last price traded prior to the entry time of the setup. The high of the intraday range is the highest price traded within the timeframe you select. The low of the intraday range is the lowest price traded within the timeframe you select.
