This section allows you to test for range expansion and range compression patterns. We have 2 main patterns to choose from, WR which stands for Wide Range and NR which stands for Narrow Range. Each of the patterns has a look back period associated with them that tell you the total number of trading days that the pattern is using.
NR2 - Narrow Range 2, the most recent trading session range was the smallest of the past 2 daily trading ranges.
NR4 - Narrow Range 4, the most recent trading session range was the smallest of the past 4 daily trading ranges.
NR7 - Narrow Range 7, the most recent trading session range was the smallest of the past 7 daily trading ranges.
NR13 - Narrow Range 13, the most recent trading session range was the smallest of the past 13 daily trading ranges.
WR2 - Wide Range 2, the most recent trading session range was the largest of the past 2 daily trading ranges.
WR4 - Wide Range 4, the most recent trading session range was the largest of the past 4 daily trading ranges.
WR7 - Wide Range 7, the most recent trading session range was the largest of the past 7 daily trading ranges.
WR13 - Wide Range 13, the most recent trading session range was the largest of the past 13 daily trading ranges.
