A type of cognitive flaw that is prevalent and dangerous among traders where too much weight is given to the most recent trades / events when evaluating the performance of a signal or strategy. As a result, traders are often fooled into following a strategy with no real edge, or overlooking a strategy that has a proven historical edge.
